Artist Bio
Hunter Parry (b. 1999) is a classically trained painter and draftsman from Omaha, Nebraska. In 2017, he moved to Florence, Italy, to pursue academic training at the Florence Academy of Art. He completed the three-year program in painting and drawing in December 2020, then continued working independently in his private studio in Florence until November 2022, when he returned to Omaha.
Hunter continues to work primarily from life in his home studio, focusing on the human form, portrait, and still life. His practice strives to convey emotion and foster a connection between subject and viewer. As he develops his skills, Hunter is entering the world of narrative painting to carry forward the storytelling tradition that has shaped his artistic journey.
