Cowboys, Wizards, and Vampires… Oh My!!
First Friday December 6th - Petshop Gallery
Cowboys, Wizards, and Vampires…Oh My!! is a group exhibition themed around archetypes curated by the Arts Management Mentees at The Joslyn’s Kent Bellows Mentoring Program. The theme was chosen by the mentees because of the vast way the term archetype can be interpreted. “We also really wanted to have a show with fun vampire fan art in order to fully appreciate the rich history of vampire folklore” - Ava, KBMP Mentee.
The Joslyn’s Kent Bellows Mentoring Program brings together high school students and professional artists for year-round mentoring in a safe space where teens have freedom and support to explore, think, and express themselves through art. With access to supplies and guidance from mentors and staff, teen artists pursue their own original ideas, gain technical skills in various media, exhibit their work, build an art portfolio, and expand their creative community.

Arts Management is the newest mentoring group being offered at KBMP. The goals of this group are to teach mentees how to curate exhibitions, create calls for artists, and prepare the gallery for an exhibition by giving them real experiences working in the art community.
